Mai Chau is called “another Sapa”. Mai Chau itself is very rural with no real downtown - rather, it is a collection of villages, farms and huts spreading out over a large village area. The most interesting thing to do here is trekking through Tai villages. Here, you have the chance to explore and understand customs of Tai people in Mai Chau.

Detailed Itinerary:
Day 1: Hanoi arrival
Pick up by coach to your hotel from Noibai International airport. Free time till dinner and water puppet show at night. (D)
(OVERNIGHT IN HA NOI)
Day 2: Hanoi - Hoa Binh - Mai Chau.
AM: Depart for Mai Chau via visiting Hoa Binh town. Arrive in Hoa Binh. Visit Hoa Binh hydro-electricity station which is the biggest station in Vietnam. Arrive at Mai Chau. Have lunch.
PM: Visit Lac & Poom Coong villages. Walk to see “Tho Cam”, a unique product of Tai people, house on stilts and Tai’s customs. Dinner and free time or you can enjoy a traditional music show. (B,L,D).
(OVERNIGHT ON STILT HOUSE OF TAI PEOPLE)
Day 3: Mai Chau - Hanoi
AM: Breakfast. Visit Xa Linh village (Black H'Mong), which is 35km from Mai Chau where you will have the chance to learn about their customs, culture and witness the daily life. Back to Mai Chau. Have lunch.
PM: Return to Hanoi with stops on the way for photography of beautiful sceneries in this mountainous area. Arrive in Hanoi. (B,L,D)

Day 4: Departure
Free day till transfer to the airport for flight home or other destinations in Vietnam. (B)
